Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data Sentinel collects, why, and the rights you have over it. Because we offer our service to users in the European Union, we apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to those users, even though our organisation is established outside the EU.

1. Who we are

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

Solutions for Environmental Services Ltd.
Operating from Libya (also registered in the United States).
Data-protection contact: info@en-services.com

We do not collect special-category data, and we do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4. Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the service:

ProviderPurposeWhat is shared
Google Firebase / Google CloudSign-in, database, hosting and processingAll account, field and analysis data (stored), processed on our behalf
Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (EU)Satellite imagery and statisticsThe coordinates and dates of the field being analysed

5. Where your data is stored and processed (international transfers)

Your account and field data are stored in the European Union (Google data centres in europe-west1, Belgium). Some processing currently takes place on Google Cloud servers in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, including Google Cloud's Standard Contractual Clauses and its certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Our organisation is established outside the EEA (Libya / United States).

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, and erase your personal data. You can exercise the two principal rights directly inside the app, at any time:

For any other request, contact info@en-services.com. If you are in the EU and believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the data-protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.

8. EU representative

As an organisation established outside the EU that offers services to people in the EU, we will appoint a representative in the European Union under Article 27 of the GDPR. Their contact details will be published here and made available to EU users and supervisory authorities.

9. Cookies and local storage

Sentinel uses only functional browser storage — a sign-in token to keep you logged in, and a local cache of app files and map tiles so the app works offline in the field. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children

Sentinel is a professional tool intended for farmers and agronomists and is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app.
